Danielle and Matt’s awesome wedding at Holy Family Church in Auburn was the kick-off to my wedding photography season. Unfortunately, Mother Nature wanted to give us a few showers which followed us everywhere we went. Myself and Kegan from Kegan Shattuck Photography started out our day at Danielle’s mother’s house to get some preparation shots. It was us two guys and about 15 lovely ladies, so not a bad start. When then shot over to Matt’s house to photograph the fellas getting ready. A half dozen shots of tequila later (just kidding), we went back to the girls where we boarded the limo and left for the church. We arrived and the ceremony went off without a hitch. After the ceremony ended, we got a few family shots with the happy new married couple, then it was off to Dickman Farm’s for some bridal party images. Because of the looming rain clouds we had to do most of the shots indoors, but we got a few really good ones. I did make the mistake of having the bridal party stand in mud that I never saw was there, so their shoes got a little dirty (sorry ladies). We again got on the limo bus and headed for Hoopes park to get some more awesome shots. But it was not meant to be. As soon as the bride and groom stepped off the limo, DOWNPOUR. We didn’t get any photos there, but that didn’t faze Danielle. She must have been one of the most laid-back and cool brides I have ever worked with. So we trekked it over to the UNC for the party. The food was great, the DJ was great, and everyone had a great time. Thanks Danielle and Matt. It was a blast.
