Mountain Springs Lake Resort Wedding. Reeding, PA.
Seriously. The weather people don’t know what they’re talking about. It was supposed to be 100% chance of rain all day for Kate and Mike’s Mountain Springs Lake Resort wedding, but even though the clouds looked scary at times, it didn’t rain at all. The sun even peeked out a few times. This happens to me more often than not. I’ve never had a complete wash out for a wedding. So right off the bat, the wedding day was off to a good start. Kate and Mike got all dolled up and met each other by one of the cabins on site to exchange notes they wrote. After a tearful greeting, and because Kate and Mike are big fishers, we got a chance to get them out of the lake in a rowboat. And of course I had to get my drone out, resulting in some of the most beautiful boat portraits. No fish were caught, but it was time for the ceremony anyway. You could tell that Kate and Mike’s family were very emotional to see these two come together. There were a few touching readings, as well as a few more tears before Kate and Mike tied the knot. Cocktail hour followed the beautiful ceremony and before long it was time to party. The first dances, speeches, flash mob and dancing all came together nicely to give Kate and Mike the best night of their lives. It was a great day. Congratulations Kate and Mike!
