Easily the most exhausted I’ve ever been after a wedding, Viraj and Rishi’s wedding events stretched over 3 days, with a 19 hour day on Saturday for their wedding ceremony and reception. And I’m not going to pretend I know all of the correct terminology for each ceremonious event, but I can assure you they were all incredible. The wedding day started at 5am as Viraj and her bridesmaids got ready. 20 pounds of dress and 5 pounds of jewelry later, Viraj was looking amazing and ready to see her groom. They met in the courtyard of the property next door for their first look, then we went right into our first portrait session. Next up, Rishi had his baraat where his friends and family dance him to his future in-laws. Viraj’s family received him and immediately stole his shoes which would be purchased back later in the day. The wedding ceremony was an awesome mixture of color, laughter, and tradition and before we knew it, Viraj and Rishi were hitched. Luckily we got a 3 hour break at this point to recharge and have lunch, then it was off to the reception. A bridal party performance and a mother/son choreographed dance kicked off the reception with a bang and it only went up from there. Great music and a fun crowd drove the party to the end. I wanted to pass out at the end but I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Thanks to my second shooter Cliff for helping me out. Enjoy the show.
