An Art Factory Wedding – Lindsay and Elena.
Art Factory Wedding. Paterson, NJ.
This was my first time being at the Art Factory, and wow, I could shoot here all day. It’s 4 floors of an old industrial textile factory and you could seriously get lost. Room after room offers a unique backdrop and not one space is like another. Both Lindsay and Elena got ready on the 3rd floor and both wanted to have a first look with their fathers, which was so touching. After those first looks, it was time to get out to the bridge for Lindsay and Elena’s first look together. I loved seeing the expressions on their face when they turned around and saw each other for the first time. We then walked around the factory, pretty much wherever we wanted to go, to capture some really epic portraits. As much as I could have gone on and on with portraits, we had to get the happy couple to their ceremony to make it official. The ceremony space was absolutely gorgeous and the ceremony itself was very emotional. Before we knew it, Lindsay and Elena were married! The cocktail hour followed and then it was time for the reception. The first dances were a sight to see and the speeches left no dry eye in the place. After dinner, it was time to party, and Lindsay and Elena’s guests danced the night away. It was a great cap to the evening and everyone had a great time. Congratulations Lindsay and Elena and enjoy the photos!

What drew you to the venue and what was your favorite detail?
The light through the windows was magical
What was your favorite moment from your wedding?
Our first dance, to The Book of Love. We got lessons and practiced for weeks – and of course messed it up – but being together in that moment, nothing mattered except the two of us.
What was the most special thing you experienced at your wedding?
The best man’s speec revealed that Elena’s Poppi (who she was very close to before he passed) had written a card for her wedding years before she even met Lindsay. Cards were big for him and he prepared them years in advance. It was like having him there.
What was the best piece of advice you got before your wedding?
It’s just a party. Guests won’t notice what you planned to happen differently.
What was the biggest reason you chose Tom Harmon Photography to capture your big day?
His work is simply stunning. It has a deep quality to it.
