Lodge at Skaneateles Wedding. Skaneateles, NY.

Gretchen and Paul’s wedding at The Lodge at Skaneateles in Skaneateles, NY, was a splendid affair that beautifully blended the charm of lakeside scenery with heartfelt celebrations. Blessed with warm and pleasant weather, the day unfolded in a series of joyful moments that reflected the couple’s vibrant spirits.

After the ceremony, we headed over to the lake to get some group shots, as well as couples portraits with Gretchen and Paul by the lake. I even broke out the drone to get an eip photo on the pier. These aerial shots added a dramatic flair to the already picturesque setting, ensuring that every angle of their happiness was preserved.

One of the day’s emotional highlights was during the first dances. Gretchen’s dances with her father and then her mother were profoundly touching scenes, filled with tender exchanges and quiet whispers of parental love. These dances were not only a tribute to familial bonds but also a celebration of the new journey Gretchen was embarking on with Paul.

The speeches delivered by the maid of honor and the best man were equally memorable, filled with anecdotes that ranged from amusingly embarrassing to deeply touching. These speeches painted a vivid picture of Gretchen and Paul’s journey, their quirks, and the depth of their relationships with their closest friends.

As night fell, the sky above The Lodge at Skaneateles lit up with a dazzling fireworks display, perfectly timed to celebrate the culmination of the evening. The fireworks not only illuminated the night sky but also the faces of all who watched, awash with light and joy.

Gretchen and Paul’s wedding was more than just a ceremony; it was a festive celebration of love, family, and friendship, set against the backdrop of Skaneateles’s natural beauty and capped off with a burst of fireworks that mirrored the sparks of their love.
