I’ve been getting so lucky with the weather this summer, and Marybeth and Luis’ Lodge at Skaneateles was no different. It was a beautifully sunny day all day. We started out our day at the lodge getting ready with the ladies. Once Marybeth was all set to go and had her first look with her father, we were off to the lake for her first look with Luis on the pier. And if you were on the pier that day, thanks for letting us take it over for 10 minutes. After the first look, we found a great shady spot for wedding party photos as well as some family shots. But it was now time to get back to the lodge because guests were waiting for Marybeth and Luis to tie the knot. The ceremony was gorgeous and everyone got to witness the love between Marybeth and Luis. The delicious cocktail hour came next, followed up by the first dances and speeches. After dinner, the lights came down and the party was in full swing, only breaking for a quick 15 minute fireworks show. It was an explosive culmination of the perfect day. What drew you to the venue and what was your favorite detail?
I had my senior dance there in high school and after that experience I knew I wanted to get married there one day. I told Luis about it and showed him pictures and he fell in love with it as well!
What was your favorite moment from your wedding?
Watching the fireworks together at our wedding
What was the most special thing you experienced at your wedding?
Having all of our friends and family members under the same roof; and them sharing our special day with us was amazing!
What was the best piece of advice you got before your wedding?
Live in the moment. Take the time to look at all of our guests enjoying your special day.
How would you describe your wedding day?
People who have asked I’ve been telling them it was the most magical day ever. It was everything by we had envisioned and more. We would relive that day over and over if we could, it was perfect!
What guest had the most fun at your wedding?
I think all of our guests had a lot of fun at our wedding, we received a lot of compliments/positive feedback from friends and family members.
What was the biggest reason you chose Tom Harmon Photography to capture your big day?
We saw his work online and knew we had to have him capture one of the most important days of our lives. His photos are absolutely incredible! We were lucky to have him as our photographer!
