Eve and Adam’s wedding day at Switch House Hotel had all the makings of a perfect March afternoon—until the wind decided to have its own agenda on the rooftop. But that’s the thing about real weddings: the chaos becomes part of the story. These two rolled with it, said their vows in a touching Jewish ceremony (even if Adam needed two tries to stomp that glass), and turned what could’ve been a weather headache into one of the most genuine days we’ve photographed.
The morning started calm in the getting-ready suites, with Kate News Makeup and the team at Up Your Do working their magic. Eve was composed, Adam was ready, and the energy felt purposeful—not frantic. The ceremony itself was where things got real. The vows were emotional and honest, the kind that land different when you’re in the room. And then came the glass stomp. Adam missed it the first time. Missed it the second time too. The room laughed, he laughed, and it became this perfect moment of imperfection that somehow made the whole thing more human. After, we headed straight to the Philadelphia Museum of Art with the bridal party for portraits. The light was golden, the building was iconic, and the crew was loose and happy—exactly what you want when you’re trying to capture real joy.
Back at Switch House for the reception, the industrial bones of the space were dressed in white and sage—understated, elegant, letting the architecture speak. We made our way to the rooftop for more portraits, and yeah, the wind was doing its thing, but Eve’s dress held strong and the city backdrop made it worth it. Downstairs, Bachelor Boys Band kept the room moving all night. There were real moments of connection at tables, genuine laughter during toasts, and that slow-burn kind of energy where people stayed engaged the whole time. Brandon Michael Productions’ photo booth became a hangout spot, and by the end of the night, everyone had that exhausted-happy look of a day well-lived.
Beautiful Blooms created arrangements that felt intentional—white and sage, soft but structured, paired with the industrial exposed brick and steel of Switch House. Eve’s dress was classic and fitted, Adam’s suit sharp and understated. The palette was restrained enough to let the venue’s raw elements dominate, warm enough that the whole day felt intimate despite the open-concept space. String lights, candlelight, and that March light coming through the windows made the whole thing glow without feeling overly decorated.
If you’re planning a spring wedding in Philadelphia and want someone to shoot the real moments—the missed glass stomps, the windy rooftop laughs, the touching vows—I’d love to talk about your day. Reach out.
