The day had finally come for Alyxandra and Ethan to tie the knot at their Westmount Country Club wedding. It was a beautiful crisp fall morning when the couple was getting ready nearby. After the dress and suits were on, everyone headed out to the backyard for a very emotional and family-oriented first look. It truly was a touching moment. We then completed a huge list of family photos (I love a big family!) and snagged a few portraits before it was time to head to the Westmount. Once on-site, it was time to sign the ketubah, and we got a chance to take some awesome portraits around the beautiful grounds. But before long, it was time to for Alyxandra and Ethan to make it official. The ceremony was held near the fountains and was an amazing setting for a ceremony. 7 walked circles and a broken glass later, Alyxandra and Ethan were officially husband and wife. Guests and family then enjoyed a food and drink-filled cocktail hour before it was time to get into the ballroom for the party. The speeches didn’t disappoint but the dancing was the real show of the night. Everyone had a great time and it was great to see so many people celebrate the happy couple. What drew you to the venue and what was your favorite detail?
Ethan: The cocktail hour room and menu drew us. Alyxandra: The view in the main room and the Venetian hour.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding?
Ethan: Seeing Al walk down the aisle. Alyxandra: There are so many. Our first look, getting lifted up in chairs together, dancing together surrounded by the people we love most.
What was the most special thing you experienced at your wedding?
Ethan:Getting to dance the night away with my beautiful bride. Alyxandra: Getting to say I Do in front of our family & friends (or getting lifted in chairs during the Hora). Non-related to Ethan: The mother-daughter dance. Everyone cried. It was awesome
What was the best piece of advice you got before your wedding?
Ethan: Just have fun. It’s your day to enjoy. Alyxandra: Don’t let anything ruin your day. It is about the two of you and a ripped dress or a person at the wrong table shouldn’t get in the way of you having the best day ever.
How would you describe your wedding day?
Ethan & Alyxandra: Magical
What guest had the most fun at your wedding?
Ethan: Our college friend Greg. Alyxandra: Probably me. Besides me, my Aunt Randi (she was one of the flower girls and it was her birthday)
What was the biggest reason you chose Tom Harmon Photography to capture your big day?
Ethan & Alyxandra: I’ve seen Tom Harmon Photography before and I’ve only seen gorgeous and fun pictures. It isn’t just typical wedding photography; it’s better.
