Tarrytown House Estate Wedding. Tarrytown, NY.
After a terribly cold and wet winter, we finally got some decent weather, and just in time for Danielle and Sam’s April Tarrytown House Estate wedding. It was a tad windy, especially later in the day, but the sun was shining and the air was warm. Both Danielle and Sam got ready right on the premises which made it easier when it came time to see each other for the first time that day. They were so excited for their first look and you could instantly see the love between them when they met. After some portraits and wedding party photos, it was time for the ceremony in the garden in front of the venue. The ceremony was presided over by Sam’s father and Danielle and Sam’s talented friends sang a touching duet to the couple. Before we knew it, the rings were on, the kiss had happened, and they had officially tied the knot. The cocktail hour came next, with it’s delicious sliders and taco bars, but the real party was about to begin. Danielle and Sam got introduced and made their way to the center for their first dance. It just so happened that both Danielle and Sam’s parents had the same wedding song when they got married many years ago, so Danielle and SAm surprised them by dancing to the exact same song. It was an amazing moment. Speeches and dinner went off with out a hitch, and the guests danced the night away to the amazing band. It was an incredible night and everyone had an amazing time. Congratulations Danielle and Sam!

About the Big Day:
What drew you to the venue and what was your favorite detail? That it was a one-stop-shop. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, and Sunday brunch here. It was totally stress-free for us and our guests.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding? When the band invited us to the front for the last song of Don’t Stop Believing
What was the most special thing you experienced at your wedding? Reciting our own vows.
What was the best piece of advice you got before your wedding? To take in the moment and not let it fly by. Several times throughout the night, we stood back to just watch our guests and take it all in.
How would you describe your wedding day? Fun (we’re obviously biased but it was definitely the most fun wedding we’ve ever been to)
What guest had the most fun at your wedding? Our parents
What was the biggest reason you chose Tom Harmon Photography to capture your big day? Because of more editorial feel to his work – not so posed and cheesy. But rather, authentic and artistic.
