Mountain Top Inn Wedding. Chittenden, VT.
I have seen temperatures this low since the bread shortage of 1939. Wow, was it cold. And snowy. But that’s what Vermont is known best for and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Ashley and Stuart left the life of luxury in beautiful Australia, flew to Hawaii where they sipped Mai Tai’s on the beach, only to then come to Vermont for their Mountain Top Inn wedding with temperatures as cold as -10 below. So they day started out with my stupidity getting our car stuck in a snow bank, but the good people at Mountain Top Inn pulled us out in record time. We then made our way up to where Ashley and Stuart were getting ready. After they got all dolled up, it was time for their first look. Lucky for me, no one wanted to venture outside, so we did a lot of our photos in the beautiful house at the top of the hill. After the main photos were done, it was time to tie the knot inside the loft at the barn. Ashley barely made it through her vows, which was a touching moment. The sealed it with a kiss and that was that, on to the party. I’ve shot a lot of weddings, and I’ve never seen a flip cup game played at the reception. It was epic! The game was neck and neck and it looked like the girls were about to lock up the victory, but in a surprise come-from-behind win, Stuarts dad landed the cup and sealed the deal. The place went nuts. The party commenced and everyone had a blast. It might have been cold outside, but the dance floor was on fire. It was amazing to see Ashley and Stuart party with their friends and family from all over the world. Check out below the photos for information about the wedding from Ashley and Stuart.

What was the biggest reason you chose Tom Harmon Photography to capture your big day? We did a lot of research on different photographers, but you could tell with Tom’s photos they were not staged it was more about capturing those magical moments that just happen throughout the day.
