West Hills Country Club Wedding. Middletown, NY.
The first time I met Cate (and Kevin), was at her brother’s wedding in Jersey City. His wedding happened to fall on her birthday and they got her a cake at the reception. After about 10 minutes of awkward silence, the cake finally came out from the kitchen and everyone at the reception sang happy birthday. It was very fun. After that wedding, and seeing my images, Cate and Kevin contacted me about shooting their wedding at West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY. I was very excited because I love shooting weddings of people in the same family. It feels homey to me. Anyway, on the day of the wedding, I started off capturing Cate and the girls getting ready in West Hills’ bridal suite. After Cate and Kevin got all dressed up, we took them out to the suspension bridge on the golf course for their first look. The bridge, and the gold course provided a great backdrop for their portraits. We then headed back to the ceremony site where we shot some of the wedding party and family portraits. It was then time for the ceremony and everybody let a few tears out watching Cate come down the aisle escorted by her brothers. Cate and Kevin’s vows were very emotional as well. Before we knew, they tied the knot and it was time to party. First dances, speeches were up first, followed by a few cultural dances by Kevin’s family on the dance floor. It was a great start to the party that never stopped. The dinner and desert was amazing and everyone had such a good time. It was great to see Cate and Kevin surrounded by so much love. Congratulations guys and enjoy the photos!
